The Silver Fin Building

This prime city centre site was assembled from four different ownership interests between 2012-14, before the site was profitably forward funded by British Airways Pension Fund upon receipt of planning permission. The building sets new standards for city centre office accommodation in the European offshore energy capital, as well as playing a pivotal role in the redevelopment of the western end of Aberdeen’s key civic thoroughfare Union Street. Completed by main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine in 2017 the Silver Fin Building is now home to Orega, Barclays, Kellas Midstream, Verus Petroleum and Grant Thornton. The development won the British Council for Offices award for Scotland’s Best Commercial Workspace in 2018.
